This coming year will be our 5th year performing with the High School
Band. It is our goal to make this our biggest and best show to date.
In order for us to achieve our goals, we will need the members to help
out in the planning of events.
WE need individuals to help in several different ways:
1. WE need a chairperson to oversee our corporate sponsors;
2. We need a chairperson to head a group to award scholarships;
and
3. WE are needing individuals to do research on the history of
our band, gather pictures, articles, and list the
accomplishments,
Wayne Driskill will be our new Membership Chairperson and Tammy Chisum
Pate will be helping him. This is the area that we need the most help.
We have a long list of things to do this coming year and if we start
planning now we will be ready to go this next fall.
Our meeting will move to the first Tuesday of each month. Our next
meeting will be Feb. 2, 2010 @ 7:00 PM in the band hall. The
membership committee will have a 2nd meeting each month. That day will
be determined at our February meeting. Please make plans to attend the
meetings as our success depends on everyone doing their part. If you
are unable to attend the meetings but want to assist please contact one
of the officers and we will let you know what is needed.
We have a lot of email addresses that are being returned as no good. If
you know of someone who has not been getting messages regarding the band
alumni, please get their email address and forward it to an officer.
