"As I sit over here in Coos Bay, Oregon reading The Facts
on my computer, I am filled with a sense of pride that I was a member of the
Angleton High School Band during my high school years. I was born and raised in
Angleton, and was in the band from the 5th grade until I graduated in 1963. My
senior year, I was one of the twirlers. What an amazing experience and what
memories I have.
I hope the band members today will enjoy their experiences and
that their memories in the years ahead will be wonderful treasures.
When all of you take the field, I will be marching right along
with you in spirit. There is nothing like Purple Pride!!!!"

"Hey...I think this (Facts article) is AWESOME! Never
told you that before and wanted too! It makes me wish that I played
in the band.
I secretly felt that way in high
school. I always wanted to be part of the drum section or the French horn
section!
Have fun marching and playing on the
field!"
